Antique bookcases are, perhaps ironically, a common type
of modern furniture. While bookcases used to be effectively reserved to the wealthy, nowadays even people who are not wealthy can
afford antique furniture. Antique bookcases frequently show outstanding craftsmanship and are frequently created from beautiful woods such as walnut, cherry or other elegant bookcase woods.
Antique bookcases, including antique lawyer's bookcases, differed in their exact characteristics.
In addition to being glass door bookcases, they were also frequently corner
bookcases or stackable bookcases. Most of the companies that made original
antique bookcases are no longer in business; Asheville Bookcases does
not make identical bookcases to those. We do, however, offer our own bookcases that in their own way meet or exceed the virtues of antique bookcases.
