Asheville Bookcases has a particular specialty in built-in bookcases. For that reason, we offer built-in bookcases that are sized to your space and created to fit your design. These built-ins are
basically the same as our custom freestanding bookcases, but made to fit side-by-side in the area chosen by you. The homeowner measures his or her area and informs us of the measurements (width to place bookcases in; height and depth required).
Our-built in bookcases are created to be very flexible. Therefore, they are similar to our freestanding bookcases, but crafted to be set continguous to each other and have crown and base molding applied (crown or base molding is selected and applied by the homeowner). This process gives you the flexibility to either use the bookcases as built-in bookcases, or to use them as moveable freestanding bookcases. You can even disassemble them and re-install the bookcases as built-ins in a new home!
For safety, all bookcases, whether built-in or freestanding, should always be fixed firmly to the studs in a wall or another immovable object.
